French swimmer Laure Manaudou (22) has decided to put an end to her sports career. The former Olympic champion announced her retirement in an interview with French newspaper Le Parisien that was published today:
"The decision has been made, I quit. I took my time for this but I felt that the desire didn't come back. I don't have anything left to prove, I've won everything. I will see what I will do next. I know it won't be easy to find my way but I now have all the time of the world to think about it."
